bank of america colonial

in 2001, moving ideas was presented with the opportunity to create a logo for the bank of america colonial, a pga tour event sponsored by bank of america. this historic pga tour invitational event was played at the colonial country club in fort worth, texas, on the home course of ben hogan, one of the greatest golfers in the history of the game. known almost as much for the tam o'shanter he wore on the course as he was for his golfing prowess, hogan was a natural choice for inclusion in this logo. working closely with the bank's sponsorship marketing team, we developed numerous iterations of this logo until we came to the one you see here - a perfect blend of golf and the golfer who made the colonial course famous.
